Kansas Early Autism Training The Autism Training Program

The Autism Training Program (ATP) at the Kansas Center for Autism Research and Training is designed to provide professionals who work with individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and family members of individuals affected by an ASD with a basic understanding of evidence-based strategies to increase learning and decrease behaviors that interfere with learning. The program is designed to increase intervention with a focus on outcomes such as improved functional skills and social-communicative ability for children, youth, and families.

The ATP also includes a short-term goal of training the service providers participating in the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services Autism Waiver program.
