Women's educational equity program

Description

This project is addressing the need for meaningful employment for young adult women with developmental disabilities (DD). Women with DD typically earn less than their male counterparts and are less likely to be employed, work full time and stay employed. Researchers are providing young women in Kansas high schools and middle schools with career development, job exploration and employment planning. It also is conducting teacher training about successful self-directed employment models.
